La Stòja
History
La Stoja is a winemaking reality that was born in the heart of Piemonte, in the chosen land of the Langhe. The project is based on the pursuit of quality and respect for the identity of this territory, with the aim of creating wines capable of telling the purity of Nebbiolo and the richness of the great reds of Langa. La Stoja consistently and rigorously interprets the Piedmontese soul, between power and finesse, tradition and precision. It is an adventure that aims to return the truth of one of the noblest regions of Italian enology in the glass, where every detail matters.
Vineyard
The grapes of La Stoja come from the most suitable hills of the Langhe, where the mild climate and ideal soils favor the full ripening of the bunches and the aromatic complexity of the grapes. Nebbiolo is the prince of production, expressed in versions that are both agile and robust, as tradition dictates for the great Piedmontese reds, alongside other classic grape varieties of the area. For aging, large Slavonian oak barrels and tonneau are preferred, for a slow maturation.that rounds off the sip without covering the fruit. The fresher and more immediate labels rest instead in steel, to protect the varietal fragrance and the tasting tension.
Wines
The wines signed by La Stoja clearly express the character of Nebbiolo and Langa: elegance, balance, and depth. The range spans from the most immediate reds, such as Dolcetto and Barbera, to Nebbiolo and the great Barolo, the pinnacle of production. The fruit remains clear and fragrant, supported by a taut and refined structure that gracefully matures over time. Each label is created to be recognizable, coherent, and authentic, the result of a philosophy dedicated to stylistic precision and care for the raw material. From everyday red to the great aging bottle, each proposal retains the same imprint. They are expressions that tell the story of Piemonte in its purest form, a land of elegance and long memory.
